Ascuba Venture's SCUBA Rangers Program

 Ascuba Venture has a new program for kids ages 8-12, who are interested in SCUBA and the underwater world. It is called Scuba Rangers! Rangers will be introduced to SCUBA in a pool environment, do open water snorkeling, learn SCUBA related skills, and go on field trips relating the underwater world.Additionally, NASDS/SSI has extended it's minimum certifying age to kids as young as 10 years old, effective April 1st. Previously, the minimum age was 12 years old. These junior divers will attend the standard Basic Course and have their own certification cards but will still be required to dive with a Certified Adult Diver until the age of 16.

ATTENTION PARENTS
Scuba Rangers are NOT OPEN WATER CERTIFIED SCUBA DIVERS. The scuba portion of the program is designed to teach and make your Ranger comfortable and safe using scuba under the direct supervision of a Certified Ranger Instructor in a POOL ENVIROMENT ONLY!!

Specialty Ranger courses are available. There is generally one Scuba Ranger Specialty Course per month. Rangers receive notification of these events by newsletter. Upon completion of 15 speciality courses, Rangers will be qualified as MASTER RANGERS and receive the BLACK MASTER RANGER T-shirt and wear 2 gold bands on their snorkel. Numerous specialties are offered for the Rangers, such as: Night Ranger, Rescue Ranger, Maze Ranger, Civics Ranger, Equipment Ranger, Shark Ranger, Open Water Ranger, Buddy Ranger, Navigation Ranger, Assistant Ranger, Computer Ranger, Video Ranger, Shop Ranger, and many, many more. Then, at age 12 it's on to Scuba Explorers.

At age 10, Rangers can become SCUBA EXPLORERS. Explorers are Junior Certified Divers. The Explorer Program is designed for ages 10-16. Our Explorers goal is to reach MASTER SCUBA DIVER LEVEL. The Explorers will be trained and certified in Level 1,2,3 & 4 Programs especially designed and involves new skills, goal setting, communication skills and much, much more.
